He completed his pediatric training in New Jersey, as a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ), Department of Pediatric Medicine and Residency Program.

He has more than 30 years of experience in medicine, across primary care for all ages, general medicine, and primary care within both family medicine and pediatric medicine.

He sees families in English and in Turkish.

Hospital affiliations

Dr. Yucel is an attending physician in pediatrics at Hackensack University Medical Center, now part of Hackensack Meridian Health, and is also affiliated with Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center.

He visits newborn patients at the hospital every day from birth until they are discharged, and follows children who are admitted for illness.

Why pediatrics

In 2000, someone Dr. Yucel loves faced a life-threatening illness. It changed how he understood medicine. Out of that came a genuine interest in pediatric medicine and in complementary, integrative, whole and natural medicine.

He decided to spend the rest of his career serving and guiding young patients and their parents, promoting healthier living and better medicine, with compassionate and heartfelt care for children and young people.

To care for my patients, your infants, your children and adolescents like our sons and daughters. Dr. Yucel's mission

His philosophy

Dr. Yucel wants to give parents information and real choices: about natural care and healing for children, about preventive medicine, about some of the causes of poor health in children, and about building a healthy immune system. All of it sits alongside every part of classic pediatric medicine, not instead of it.

He is a father of three. That comes up often in how he talks about his patients.

"Children are our future. Let's give them an exceptional care which they deserve."

Inside the office

What the office is like

Suite 204 is on the second floor at 155 Polifly Road, with parking in front of the building. It is a small practice: a waiting room with couches and a toy corner by the window, and exam rooms off a single hallway. Parents mention the short waits more than almost anything else.
