InnovationsForEquality is a nonprofit that builds free websites for independent local businesses. This page describes every piece of data this site collects and every third party it sends data to. There are no others.

What we collect

  • Application form. If you apply for a free website we collect the name, email address, business name, business type, location, whether you already have a site, your goals and your timeline — the fields on the form itself, and nothing more.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type and referring site. We do not attach your name or email to it.
  • Search data. Google Search Console reports which search queries showed our pages, and how often they were clicked. This is aggregate data about pages, not people.

Who we share it with

  • FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers the application form to our inbox. Your answers pass through their service on the way to us.
  • Google provides Analytics, Search Console and the fonts these pages use. Loading a page requests fonts from Google's servers, which reveals your IP address to Google in the same way visiting any site that uses Google Fonts does.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to build a profile of you. We do not run advertising on this site.

Business pages

Pages under a region folder describe local businesses. The details on them — address, phone number, hours, menu — come from public listings, not from anything a visitor submits. Photographs are licensed stock images that show the style of food a kitchen serves; they are labelled as such on each page and are not photographs of that business.

If you own a business featured here and want the page corrected or removed, email us and we will do it. No explanation is required and there is no cost either way.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count returning visits; your browser's settings, or any content blocker, will stop them.

Your choices

  • Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
  • Ask us to delete it, and we will.
  • Block analytics with a content blocker or a Do Not Track setting — the site works fine without it.
